The Nay

Resim
Give me the Nay and sing, The secret song of eternity. The laments of the Nay will linger Beyond the decline of existence. Have you, like me, Chosen the forest dwelling Rather than the castle? Have you followed the stream And climbed the rocks? Have you anointed your body With fragrance distilled in light? Have you been drunk with dawn In the goblets full of pure air? Give me the Nay and sing, The song is the most beautiful prayer. The laments of the Nay will linger Beyond the decline of existence. Have you, like me, sat down at dusk, Among the glowing languor Of vines laden with grapes? Have you lain down on the grass at night And covered yourself with heavens, Opening your heart to the future, Forgetful of the past? Give me the Nay and sing, The song in tune with hearts. The laments of the Nay will linger Beyond the fading of sins. Give me the Nay and sing, Unmindful of troubles and cures. For each man is nothing more than a watercolor sketch. Gibran Khalil Gibran

The personal past and the personal future might be compared to the photograph, whose paper-thin surface is literally an interface between projection and reflection. Denis Grady in Timothy Dow Adams, Light Writing&Life Writing:Photography in Autobiogarphy

My gaze slid by chance towards the massive mirror hanging in front of us and I uttered a cry: in this golden frame our image appeared like a painting and this painting was marvellously beautiful. It was so strange and so fantastic that a deep shiver sized me at the thought that its lines and its colours soon dissolve like a cloud. Leopold Sacher-Masoch, Venus in Furs

"Hen Ek Duoin": One Out of Two

'Now indeed, O Eryximachus,' said Aristophanes. 'I must speak something different from what you and Pausanias said. For to me, humans completely misunderstand the dynamics of Eros [Love]; if they perceived Him, they would build the greatest temples and altars, and would make the greatest sacrifices, just as now none of these things happen for Him, although most assuredly it is fitting that they all happen. For of all the gods, He [Eros] is the philanthropist, being an ally to humanity, and a healer in those things needing healing, bringing the greatest happiness to the human race. Therefore, I shall try to initiate you into the mysteries of His dynamics, and you will become teachers of others. First, you all will learn about the nature of humanity and its experiences. For long ago its nature was not as it is now - one became the other. For at first there were three species [or sexes] of humans,

Ayak sesleri. İnsan parçaları. Kalabalıkta koluna çarpan bir kol. Güneşle gözünü çelen araba aynaları. Simitçinin maşayla tezgahına vururken çınlattığı Ankara sokakları. Durakta bekleyen tanıdık yüzlerin kırışıklıkları. Sisin içinde yürürken, seyrettiğin bir filmin içine dalmak. İçindeki sayısız varlığı hissetmekten yorulmuş bedenimin, yerçekimine yaslanması.Hepsi de yanlızlığımızı

A few light taps upon the pane made him turn to the window. It had begun to snow again. He watched sleepily the flakes, silver and dark, falling obliquely against the lamplight. The time had come for him to set out on his journey westward. Yes, the newspapers were right: snow was general all over Ireland. It was falling on every part of the dark central plain, on the treeless hills, falling softly upon the Bog of Allen and, farther westward, softly falling into the dark mutinous Shannon waves. It was falling, too, upon every part of the lonely churchyard on the hill where Michael Furey lay buried. It lay thickly drifted on the crooked crosses and headstones, on the spears of the little gate, on the barren thorns. His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead. James Joyce , The dead

Flow

Resim
A beautiful contribution... If we reflect on our experience, at any time, we can see that it is actually not just changing from one thing toanother, but it is in constant flow. In other words, when we attune ourselves to the changing panorama of ourexperience we begin to be aware not only of the fact that inner events are transitory, always changing from onething to another, but also of the sense that this change is actually a flow of inner events. We recognize it is astream of impressions, feelings, thoughts, images, sensations, states, and the like. This statement would appear to be a truism, since it is obvious on reflection that our experience is a flow ofevents, outer and inner. However, an intellectual recognition of the fact that experience is a constant flow andchange is not the same as knowing our experience directly as that flow and change. In the direct experience of the soul, we know directly and intimately the sense of a direct attunement to the flow.We are not only cognit

Bıraktım...

Haziran 2002, Amsterdam. Her insanın içinde o enerjiyle il
